Schedule for submission of Canada's reports to the United Nations
Canada is a party to the seven principal United Nations (UN) human rights treaties. It is required to submit periodic reports to the UN on measures undertaken by federal, provincial and territorial governments that serve to implement these conventions. The following is a schedule of the months in which Canada expects to submit its upcoming reports.
Recently submitted:
- Nineteenth and Twentieth Reports of Canada on the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (submitted to the UN on January 27, 2011).
- Sixth Report of Canada on the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (submitted to the UN on October 4, 2010)
- Third and Fourth Reports of Canada on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (submitted to the UN on November 20, 2009)
