CANADA - NEW BRUNSWICK AGREEMENT ON THE PROVISION OF FRENCH LANGUAGE SERVICES 2005-06 TO 2008-09

SPECIAL PROJECT APPROVED IN 2008-09

In accordance with Subsection 4.2 of the Canada - New Brunswick Agreement on the Provision of French-Language Services 2005-06 to 2008-09, Canada will financially support the project described below.

Centre d'accélération d'entreprise en localisation et traduction - Phase III

Duration

From April 1, 2008, to March 31, 2009

Objectives

To support the developpement of the language industry in New Brunswick and the Atlantic Provinces.
Continue the development of translation memories.

Expected Results

Improved language industry products and services to Acadian and Francophone communities in the Atlantic Region.
Increased number of professionals working in this field.
Increased access to the tools and technological infrastructure relevant to this field.
Increased the capacity for professionals to respond to the demand for language-related products and services in New Brunswick and the other Atlantic provinces.
To raise awareness of the positive benefits of the language industry services for Acadian and Francophone communities and businesses.
