ACCREDITATION Upcoming Royal Visit of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Canada from November 2 to 12, 2009. They will visit 12 cities and/or communities in 4 provinces, as follows:

Newfoundland and Labrador: St. John's, Cupids, and Brigus
Ontario: Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Petawawa, and Ottawa
British Columbia: Victoria and Vancouver
Quebec: Gatineau and Montréal

All media representatives who wish to cover the Royal Visit must be accredited in accordance with the normal procedures of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and obtain an ID card. Freelance journalists must provide a letter from their employer attesting to their employment.

The application for accreditation is attached to this advisory. Your application must be accompanied by a 50 mm x 70 mm (passport-sized) full-face photograph. An electronic copy of your picture is preferred.

The deadline to apply for accreditation is October 9, 2009. All sections of the application must be completed and the form must be signed by the employer.

Please specify in which province you wish to pick up your ID card.
