To me "With Glowing Hearts!" means the rich and vibrant spirit of our country. I decided to represent this through a torch and a flame, representing how this spirit is ignited and burns throughout our country.

The flame is also in the shape of a maple leaf. Inside, a ribbon flows around the Peace Tower and flies across with Canadian geese, transforming into aurora borealis. Underneath the ribbon is a boat representing the Maritimes, Québec City styled buildings to show our rich Francophone culture, skyscrapers that portray our cities, the Prairies, and then a whale, to represent the vibrant Aboriginal culture.

The closeness of all this is to show that even though our country is so vast everyone is very unified. The mountains above the Canadian landscape have an inuksuk to also represent the aboriginal culture, but as well are under toned in the colours of the Vancouver 2010 logo, to signify the Games coming to Canada. The snowboarder beside this signifies "With Glowing Hearts!" spirit through sport, as well as the Vancouver Games. At the very bottom of the poster is a banner depicting other ways "With Glowing Hearts!" can be shown: through charity, being green, volunteering, playing music and, thinking and learning.
